Welcome to the University of Richmond Sus-DANE-ability Challenge

University of Richmond is celebrating International Education week by going Danish! Denmark is known globally not only for being one of the happiest nations in the world, but also for its commitment to sustainability. To help you live like a Dane, we've created the Sus-DANE-ability Challenge, powered by the Campus EcoChallenge.

Register

This one week challenge will allow you to adopt behaviors that have a positive impact on you, your environment, and your community. Each action will earn you points and, at the end of the challenge, the three competitors with the highest number of points will win Denmark-inspired prizes.

Meet Morten & Emma

Danes often bike to work, go outside to enjoy nature, and walk to meet with friends. To help you understand the average Dane's lifestyle a little better, we've brought in a couple experts. Meet Morten and Emma. Morten is a 20-year-old computer science major from Copenhagen, the Danish capital. Morten enjoys the small joys of everyday life in his city, like a walk through Frederiksberg Gardens or the aroma of roasting beans while sitting at counter of the Coffee Collective. Emma, on the other hand, is a business management major who is always up for an adventure. Emma regularly heads out of town to places like Hareskoven for mountain biking, Mols Bjerge National Park for breathtaking hiking, or Aarhus for people watching.

Throughout the week, you'll receive stories, facts, and tips from Morten and Emma to help you live like a Dane. You can find more information on our Resources page.
