Athletics Staff Feed

BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

I already use mostly LED bulbs in my home, so not many need to be changed!

Our Athletics department actually invested in reusable mugs for all employees. Upon hire, employees receive their "Spider Mug" and it's been a great way to keep the styrofoam cups out of the kitchen!

I live in an area that's very walkable, and sometimes find myself taking unnecessary trips when I could get outside and take a walk instead. This week, I paid more attention to the distances and last night ended up walking to a restaurant that was only a few blocks away, when I normally would've driven.

Enjoying my back porch each morning and evening allow me to relax before the hustle & bustle of the work day!

In addition to switching my closet lights to LED light bulbs, I always switched my outdoor sensor lights to them as well. I am hoping to really see a difference in my Dominion bill.

I set my thermostat on a timeR. I reduced my heat from 70 - 68 in the evenings and when I am at work it gradually decreases to 65 then back up to 67 when I get home  until bed time then back to 68!
